FAQ

Straight answers to the questions everyone asks.

Still have a question?

Tell us where you are and where you want to go. Within two working days, a partner from our team gets back to you. No obligation. No jargon. Just clarity.

01Can a foreign company own 100% of a Saudi company?

In most sectors, yes. Under the 2025 Investment Law, foreign investors register with MISA and receive equal treatment with local investors. A short list of excluded activities remains restricted. We check your activity in the first conversation.

02Do I still need a MISA licence?

No. The old MISA licence was replaced in 2025 by an investment registration with MISA. It is simpler and faster, but the rest of the setup (Commercial Registration, sector licences, tax and labour registrations) still applies.

03How long does setup take?

It depends on your activity, structure and sector licences. A straightforward company moves much faster than a regulated healthcare or food business. We give you a realistic timeline in your entry blueprint, not a sales promise.

04What is the minimum capital?

Capital requirements depend on activity and structure, and some sectors set their own thresholds. We advise on the right amount for your plan and your visa needs.

05Do I need a Saudi partner?

Not legally in most sectors. Commercially, the right local partner, distributor or advisor often makes the difference. We help you decide and find the right one.

06What is Saudization?

Saudization (Nitaqat) requires companies to employ a percentage of Saudi nationals, depending on sector and size. Planning it from day one protects your visa quota and your reputation.

07Can I test the market before setting up a company?

Yes. Options include a distributor or agent model, an exploration trip, or an Employer of Record to hire staff without your own entity.

08Should I choose Jeddah or Riyadh?

Riyadh is the capital and the centre of government and many headquarters. Jeddah is the commercial and logistics gateway on the Red Sea. The right choice depends on your clients, sector and incentives. Many clients use both.

09What is the RHQ Program?

A program for multinationals that run their MENA operations from Saudi Arabia, with long-term incentives and better access to government contracts. It requires real substance in the Kingdom. We assess whether it fits you.

10Do you provide legal and tax advice yourselves?

We coordinate the full journey and work with licensed Saudi law, tax and audit firms for regulated advice. You get one point of contact and expert sign-off where the law requires it.

11Do you only work with Dutch companies?

No. We have a strong focus on the Netherlands and Europe, and serve African and international companies through our Casablanca and Jeddah offices.
